Ingredients
  

  • 12 fresh oysters shucked and on the half shell
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • salt
  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and place the shucked oysters on a baking sheet lined with rock salt or crumpled aluminum foil to keep them steady.
  • In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and chives. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place a generous dollop of the garlic herb butter mixture on top of each oyster.
  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the oysters.
  • Bake the oysters in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
  • Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the oysters cool for a minute or two before serving.
