Ingredients
  

  • 2 Beef Tenderloin Steaks 6 oz each
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 Small Shallot Minced
  • 1 cup Red Wine
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • Fresh Rosemary For Garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Season the tenderloin steaks with salt and pepper.
  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and sear on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast until the steaks reach your desired level of doneness (use a meat thermometer for accuracy). For medium-rare, this will be about 10-15 minutes.
  • Remove the skillet from the oven and transfer the steaks to a plate to rest.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and shallot, sautéing over medium heat until softened.
  • Add the red wine, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze and release any cooked-on bits. Let this simmer until the wine is reduced by half.
  • Add the beef broth and continue to simmer until the sauce has reduced and thickened.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and whisk in the butter until it's fully incorporated into the sauce.
  • Slice the rested steaks and serve with the red wine reduction poured over top. Garnish with fresh rosemary and enjoy your romantic meal!
